A Tour of the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station

Do you have memories taking a train to various places? Have you taken a train from the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station?

If you have said "Yes" to any of the above questions, you may like to continue reading.

Thanks a lot to Yesterday.sgI Love Museum and the Preservation of Monuments Board, I had a tour of the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station yesterday. The tour was led by one of the guides from the Preservation of Monument Board. The tour has deepened my knowledge and appreciation of the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station.

The Tanjong Pagar Railway Station is currently a railway terminus owned by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM), the main railway operator in Malaysia. It will cease operations by 1 Jul 2011, after which the building will be conserved and may be integrated with future developments on the site. The Keretapi Tanah Melayu's (KTM) southern terminus will be relocated to the Woodlands Train Checkpoint.

If you would like a glimpse of my tour of the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, please read: The Tanjong Pagar Railway Station Tour on 21 May 2011.
