I yearn to be better understood

Often feeling misunderstood.
The exercise to clarify isn't what I seek.
For one may wish to know what's on another person's mind,
But he may fail to learn how to see
The world from that person's perspective.
Then telling is not communication.
For an exchange of mere content,
Does not bring anyone closer to the inner world of the other person.
Then communicating just seems not meaningful,
Not at that particular moment in time.

People are getting more self-centred. They just want to be heard and not listen.

I get misunderstood many times because those people are not up to my level. They can't think beyond their wants or their wealth. So shallow and immatured. Would they understand even if we try explaining?

Some friends might not understand you any better too. The art of communication is not easy.

Tell me about communication!! I am having difficulties with the locals bcoz of my M'sian accent. No matter how, the accent will always be there. The locals said they have a hard time understanding what I am saying, and it's very frustrating for me.

Communication has to be two way. Without feedback how does the communicator know if the words are effective.
