Care to support?

Finally, the details for the upcoming concert that yours truly have been talking about are out. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

THE BUTTERFLY LOVERS

THE BUTTERFLY LOVERS
Wednesday, 27 July 2005, 7.30pm
University Cultural Centre Hall
National University of Singapore
Tickets at $10

Featuring SSO first violinist Mr Foo Say Ming, the NUS Symphony Orchestra presents the perennial Chinese classic: The Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto. A pre-tour cum fund-raising concert for its August trip to the Aberdeen International Youth Festival in Scotland. Conducted by resident conductor/music director Maestro Lim Soon Lee.

Repertoire:

Felix Mendelssohn - Overture to Fingal's Cave, Op. 26
Chen Gang and He Zhanhao - The Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky - Symphony No. 5 in E minor, op. 64

The NUS Symphony Orchestra first participated in the Aberdeen International Youth Festival in 1998 and was praised: "Something special from Singapore." As the only group from Singapore this year, the Orchestra has been given the honour to perform in its Opening Concert. NUSSO therefore seeks to raise funds for its members, who are mainly students, to participate in the Festival.

For tickets, please contact Ash at 9380 1727 or visit www.nusso.org for more information.

ocean, will you be playing? I'm keen to go too...

Shall we all go?

I will be playing. If you wonder where I would be sitting, look for the double bass section, I am the principal player playing at the first desk.

Oh, I would be happy if you folks could go. I remind you, it is a Wednesday evening. The management of the concert hall was kind enough to sponsor us the use of the venue, so Wednesday is the best date available.

i will come then! i will rearrange/cancel my office's engagements, as wednesday is a day we will end at about 9+pm. it will be nice to meet all of you!

i will also look forward (provided got chance, if not nevermind)to seeing mr foo again. i know his mum. as i think lynette is not playing for this concert, i would have loved to meet her too! (i know her mum too!) i bumped into mr lim soon lee a couple of days back. (he may have forgotten me, no fault of his, it was a brief encounter.) *wink*

Lynnette Seah isn't playing in this concert. She's neither a member of our orchestra nor a tutor.

sorry, earlier, I had thought that you meant to ask whether Lynnette Seah is one of the first violinists of Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

Come listen to us. We will be pleased. =)

Thank you Cat, Mistipurple and Pinkie.

So, I suppose you would be able to get the tickets on your own?

Or if you would need help with tickets, let me know. my MSN and hotmail account is oceanskies@hotmail.com

Though please identify yourself.

dear ocean, i will contact ash. i do not want to bother you too much with ticketing matters. *wink*
don't worry, i am in contact with Cat, and will find Pinkie along the way! (i must say i have not met any of them.)
(i will also check with them on their schedules if they can make it!)

i will put aside this date. in fact, besides needing to work that day, i will have overseas principals in town. but, at this instant, things are still in control! lol. *suddenly feeling corny as though i am launching a rocket*

Hi Mistipurple, thank you for making time. I am touched by your kind gesture and support.

By the way, it's a fixed seating concert (not free seating). For your information.
