I have never eaten ice-balls, but I have read about them in history textbooks. As best as I am aware of, it is now very rare to find ice-balls being sold in Singapore. The closest relative to ice-balls that is available in Singapore is the ice-kachang, which means ice bean.
Like an ignorant lady deprived of village life, I was very fascinated to read about how ice-balls are being made on Good Morning Yesterday's blog. Check out the post: Ice Balls.
