Blogger now schedules future-dated posts

Dear fellow users of Blogger, if you take some time to read your dashboard, you will find out that Blogger now schedules future-dated posts.

This means users of Blogger can now schedule post publishing. This will come in very handy for those who wants to post something on a certain date but can't be at the computer to publish the post. Do check your dashboard for more information.

Maybe this may help me publish?

Thanks to the information on this URL, I have managed to find a way to publish a new post on this blog.

Now here's the quote from the most helpful post I have found on the issue:

It seems that this is a problem specific to Singnet, so I encourage you all to contact them to see if you're able to provoke some changes on their end. Also, as a workaround, you can substitute the "www" in the URL where you encounter problems to "www2."

Gosh. If the problem is specific to Singnet, maybe it is high time to consider changing my internet service provider unless Singnet rectifies the issue?

Snap Preview Anywhere

Thanks to Acroamatic, I found out about this interesting tool, Snap Preview Anywhere.

Here's quoting:

Snap Preview Anywhere enables anyone visiting your site to get a glimpse of what other sites you're linking to, without having to leave your site. By rolling over any link, the user gets a visual preview of the site without having to go there, thus eliminating wasted "trips" to linked sites.

(please click here to view source).

I find it quite a helpful tool, so I am now testing it out. If you were to roll your cursor over most of the links found on my blog, you should be able to get a visual preview of the linked site without even having to go there.

Please share with me your comments about this tool. Do you find it a useful tool to have on this blog? Or, is it distracting to have this tool around? All other comments are welcome.

Installing Macromedia Flash 8

Thanks to JZ, I have managed to find the way to browse the Explore Singapore! that requires Macromedia Flash 8. This has certainly put a smile on my face, as it also means that I will finally be able to view the National Museum of Singapore's website.

If you happen to also have difficulties installing Macromedia Flash, check JZ's comments here to attempt to resolve the installation issues: http://oceanskies79.blogspot.com/2006/10/this-should-be-fun.html#comments

It works for me. *Smiles*

An interesting online dictionary

I read about this link from the newspapers. This link is an online dictionary of Singlish and Singapore English:

So when you can't understand any Singlish, you may wish to check this online dictionary out.
