I went online to search for fairly similar photos of Boat Quay. Boat Quay is located along the Singapore River.
I have a special liking for this part of the Singapore River. Unconsciously, this is one place that I would tend to go when I am feeling down, when I need some respite, or when I need to have time for quiet reflections. Furthermore, the colonial buildings nearby the area somehow have an attractive appeal to me. I simply love their designs.

Hi Jason and Eastcoastlife: Thank you. It fascinates me to see how the Singapore River has transformed over the decades. If I could afford it through my own means, I would like to live near the Singapore River.
PY, you did a great job with the picture you took. The similarities, is it some of the old buildings along the river? Sure looks the same to me.
Dawn: Thanks. some of the old warehouses (godowns) were conserved. Thanks to people who advocated for them not to be destroyed. Afterall, their existence reminds us of our country's history and humble beginnings.
I love these pictures. Interesting how things have changed with the passage of time. :)
